Sizing a Bottecchia gravel bike
Bottecchia is one of Italy's oldest names, and its current gravel range spans four bikes: the carbon Gravel SL race machine, the titanium Gravel Titan, the carbon Gravel Overland all road adventurer and the value alloy Gravel Monster. Two things are worth knowing before you choose. Bottecchia gravel tends to run about a size large, so riders between two sizes usually take the smaller. And the three carbon and titanium models share one race derived frame, so they fit alike.

Because Bottecchia runs a touch large, if you land between two rows take the smaller size. Very tall riders are better served by the alloy Monster, which offers a 58.
How to measure yourself
Height. Stand barefoot against a wall, heels together, and measure to the top of your head.
Leg length (inseam). Barefoot, feet about 15 cm apart, press a book up to the wall like a saddle and measure floor to spine.
The reliable check. Compare the reach below with a gravel or road bike that already fits you, and remember Bottecchia tends to come up large, so err smaller when close.

These figures are the verified Overland geometry that the SL and Titan share. A tester of 169 cm found the 49 comfortable despite normally riding a 52, which is the clearest sign the range runs large, so size down when between.
Gravel Monster (aluminium)
The Monster is the value alloy all rounder, classic gravel geometry with no extremes, comfortable and slightly sporty with room for 50 mm tyres. It offers the widest size range. Available in 6 sizes: 44, 48, 51, 54, 56 and 58.

Bottecchia's official height guide skips the 56, so riders around 183 to 188 cm sit between the 54 and 58 and should compare reach or try both.
What Bottecchia riders find
The clearest theme is that the carbon range runs about a size large, backed by a reviewer of 169 cm who was comfortable on a 49 rather than his usual 52, so sizing down when between is the safe move. The Overland is praised as stable on both climbs and descents with easy road to gravel transitions and a comfortable integrated cockpit. The alloy Monster is described as classic gravel with no extremes, rides like a road bike with the stability of fatter tyres, and fits tall riders well, with one rider of 190 cm finding the 58 right rather than overly long. Its ride is sporty rather than plush, so tyre pressure does the softening.
Between two sizes?
