« Scott FOIL RC 2023 »

Made with the Pros. Together since 2021, Team DSM has been an integral part of the development of the brand-new FOIL RC, a no-shortcuts road bike that embodies aerodynamics, lightness, and comfort. The riders first used it in 2022. Since then, the Dutch team has achieved many successes, including Grand Tour stage victories and the first yellow jersey in the Women's Tour de France.

Aerodynamics. Following the UCI rule updates in 2021, Scott revisited their previous model to create the perfect frame for the Team DSM riders, with the aim of offering every possible advantage. The tubing design minimizes aerodynamic drag, shaving off 1 minute and 18 seconds at 40 km/h.

Lightweight. Weight and aerodynamics share a symbiotic relationship. More aerodynamics usually mean a larger, thicker frame. However, the Scott FOIL RC 2023 is both lighter and more aerodynamic than previous models without sacrificing rigidity.

Comfort. The handlebar and stem were designed in a wind tunnel. The result? Try riding the new FOIL RC downhill, and you'll notice how easily you can control all the power it delivers.

Bike set-up. On bike-room.com, you can find the following set-ups for the Scott FOIL RC 2023:

Scott PLASMA TT 2023

Designed to win against the time. Beyond imagination. Building on the previous model developed for triathlon (already fast but not UCI approved), Scott has created the fastest bike in its history, enhancing stability at high speeds and introducing a high-end disc braking system. This upgrade improves comfort and allows athletes to maintain their time trial position longer without compromising the integrated and versatile setup.

One of the standout features of the new PLASMA TT 2023 is its ability to minimize aerodynamic drag when riding solo against the wind, one of the most challenging scenarios in time trials and long-distance triathlons.

Aerodynamics. All modifications made to enhance aerodynamics and design were incremental. Initially on paper and subsequently in the Drag2Zero wind tunnel, every aspect from tubing to junctions and seat post was meticulously refined.

Lightweight. The weight of the new Scott PLASMA TT frame is 12% lower than its predecessor, with no compromise in stiffness. Practically, this translates to gaining over 30 seconds in a 40 km time trial compared to the previous model.

Comfort. A special mention goes to the cockpit, which is 100% adjustable (up to 15° upwards and 5° laterally, the maximum limits allowed by the UCI) with integrated cables (also compatible with electronic shifting). As Scott stated, "If a rider cannot feel comfortable on the bike, it doesn't matter how aerodynamic the bike is." In other words, a successful time trial bike should adapt to the athlete, not the other way around, regardless of performance level.

Bike set-up. On Bike-room.com, you can find the following set-ups for the Scott PLASMA TT 2023, both with Vision Metron 81 wheels*:

  • Shimano Dura-Ace 11-speed
  • Shimano Dura-Ace 12-speed
