Cipollini Road Bike Size Guide

Cipollini Road Bike Size Guide

Finding your size on a Cipollini road bike

Cipollini builds some of the most aggressive race frames on the road, and the current lineup spans four very different fits: the NK1K climber, the RB1K aero flagship, the more forgiving Dolomia and the aero focused AD.ONE. The single most important thing to know is that Cipollini sizing runs low and long. Stack heights sit well below most rivals, so a rider who takes a Medium on an endurance bike will often feel the front end is noticeably lower here. Size around your body, not the label. You can see the full current range in the Cipollini collection.

Please note. Every chart below is indicative, not a guarantee. Riders vary in proportion, flexibility and riding style, and two people of the same height can need different sizes. Treat this as a starting point and confirm against the exact bike and your own fit before buying.

Quick size finder

Rider height Leg length (inseam) NK1K RB1K Dolomia AD.ONE
157–167 cm 72–77 cm XXS XXS XS XS
165–173 cm 76–81 cm XS XS XS S
171–179 cm 79–84 cm S S S S
177–185 cm 82–87 cm M M M M
183–191 cm 85–90 cm L L L L
188–197 cm 88–93 cm XL XL XL XL
194–204 cm 91–97 cm XXL XXL XL XXL

Dolomia is offered in five sizes (XS to XL) and AD.ONE in six, so the largest and smallest riders will find fewer steps on those two models. Per size height bands for the Dolomia and AD.ONE are estimated; see the closing note.

How to measure yourself

Height. Stand against a wall without shoes, heels together, and mark the top of your head. Measure straight down to the floor.

Leg length (inseam). Stand with your back to the wall and place a hardback book spine up between your legs, pulled firmly against your body as a saddle would sit. Mark the top of the book on the wall and measure from that mark to the floor. This inseam figure is the best single predictor of standover and saddle height.

NK1K

The pure climber of the range. Low stack, moderate reach and a steep seat angle put you square over the pedals for high cadence efforts.

Size Stack (mm) Reach (mm) Rider height
XXS 503 367 157–167 cm
XS 512 371 165–173 cm
S 527 379 171–179 cm
M 542 385 177–185 cm
L 556 390 183–191 cm
XL 570 398 188–197 cm
XXL 581 407 194–204 cm

Fit character: a slammed, race position climbing frame that rewards flexible, aggressive riders.

RB1K

The aero flagship and the most demanding fit here. Lower stack and longer reach than the NK1K at the same label, built for a flat back and a stretched, powerful position.

Size Stack (mm) Reach (mm) Rider height
XXS 493 375 157–167 cm
XS 500 383 165–173 cm
S 509 391 171–179 cm
M 519 396 177–185 cm
L 538 402 183–191 cm
XL 552 411 188–197 cm
XXL 569 417 194–204 cm

Fit character: an uncompromising aero race position that suits strong, aggressive riders.

Dolomia

The lightweight all day option. The Dolomia keeps a racing edge but sits a touch taller at the front than the NK1K and RB1K, which makes long rides more comfortable.

Size Stack (mm) Reach (mm) Rider height
XS 507 367 163–170 cm (est.)
S 524 377 170–177 cm (est.)
M 539 384 176–183 cm (est.)
L 560 397 182–190 cm (est.)
XL 585 403 188–196 cm (est.)

Fit character: a comfort leaning race bike, quick handling but easier to live with over distance.

AD.ONE

Cipollini describes the AD.ONE as an advanced take on the RB1K, blending time trial aerodynamics with road handling. Expect a low, fast position close to the RB1K.

Size Stack (mm) Reach (mm) Rider height
1 (XS) 508 370 163–171 cm (est.)
2 (S) 522 379 170–178 cm (est.)
3 (M) 533 390 177–184 cm (est.)
4 (L) 546 398 183–190 cm (est.)
5 (XL) 564 406 188–196 cm (est.)
6 (XXL) 583 410 194–204 cm (est.)

Fit character: the RB1K taken further, a maximum speed aero racer for confident riders.

What Cipollini riders find

Owners and testers consistently describe Cipollini frames as stiff, communicative and fast. The recurring theme is the low front end: head tubes are short across the range, so many riders raise the bars with the integrated top cap spacers to reach a sustainable position. The steep seat angles win praise for putting power straight through the cranks, and the Dolomia is singled out as the model most riders can enjoy all day without a professional level of flexibility.

Between two sizes?

If your height lands between two rows, let your riding style decide. Choose the smaller size for a sharper, more aggressive position and lively handling. Choose the larger size for a taller front end and a calmer ride over long distances. Inseam and flexibility matter more than height alone, so when in doubt, share both figures with us.

Stack and reach figures are official where available. RB1K, NK1K and Dolomia values come from published Cipollini and dealer geometry tables. Per size rider height bands for the Dolomia and AD.ONE are estimated, and AD.ONE size labels are inferred, because Cipollini does not publish those figures as text. Always confirm the geometry of the exact bike before you buy.
