Sizing an Orbea mountain bike
Orbea keeps its mountain range to four sizes, S to XL, with one height chart across the board, so the model you pick is a choice of character while the size follows your height and reach. Two things owners consistently report are worth carrying into your decision. Orbea tends to run a touch small, so riders often land a size larger than a generic chart suggests, most notably on the lightweight Rise. And the very short seat tubes on the trail and enduro bikes give huge standover, which means you can size up for more reach without the usual clearance penalty. Your Orbea size by height
Find your height for the baseline size, which applies across the range; the model tables give the reach so you can decide between two sizes.

Because Orbea runs slightly small and the seat tubes are short, riders near a boundary often size up for more reach without losing standover. This is especially common on the Rise.
How to choose your size
Take your height barefoot, then use reach to fine tune against a bike you like. Lean on the short seat tubes: on the Occam, Rallon and Laufey they give so much standover and dropper room that sizing up for reach is genuinely viable. Cross country
The Oiz is the race focused XC full suspension bike, quick and low, and the Alma the pure, efficient XC hardtail with the shortest reach in the range. Size for cockpit length here rather than comfort.

Trail and enduro
The Occam is the do it all trail bike, the Rallon the long travel enduro and park machine, and the Laufey the playful, hard charging alloy trail hardtail. All three have very short seat tubes, so sizing up for reach is easy, and reviewers explicitly suggest sizing up the Laufey for rowdier riding.

Electric
The Rise is the natural handling lightweight e-MTB, a trail bike with a boost, and the Wild the slack, planted full power e-enduro. The Rise is the model most often sized up, as several owners find it runs small.

What Orbea riders find
The recurring note is that Orbea runs slightly small versus rivals, so several owners end up one size larger than a plain height chart would suggest, and tall riders around 183 cm and up frequently choose XL. The very short seat tubes on the Occam, Rallon and Laufey are the enabling factor: they give big standover and room for very long droppers, so sizing up for reach carries no real downside, and the Laufey in particular is one reviewers say to size up if you ride aggressively. On the Rise, the classic torso versus legs conflict comes up for long legged riders, where a shorter stem is the common fix, and MyO makes that easy to spec. The full power Wild only comes in four sizes, so riders under about 165 cm or over about 195 cm should fit check in person.
Between two sizes?
