Husqvarna's electric mountain range covers three characters: the Mountain Cross trail all rounder, the long travel Hard Cross enduro machine and the lighter, shorter travel Light Cross. The single most important thing to get right is your reach, because the added system weight of an e-MTB rewards a balanced, confident cockpit that you can move around on steep ground. Quick size finder

For e-MTB, sizing down gives a more playful, flickable ride and sizing up gives more high speed stability. Inseam bands are approximate; use rider height and reach as the primary guide.

How to measure yourself

Height. Stand against a wall without shoes, feet together, and mark the top of your head. Measure from the floor to the mark.

Leg length (inseam). Stand with your back to the wall and place a book spine up between your legs, snug against your body as a saddle would sit. Measure from the top of the book to the floor. This number drives standover clearance and saddle height, which matter more on a heavier e-bike.

Motor and battery: what to know

Two numbers describe the drive system. Torque, measured in newton metres (Nm), is the push you feel on climbs and from a standstill. Across the current range Husqvarna uses Shimano motors rated at 85 Nm, so all three families climb strongly. Battery capacity, measured in watt hours (Wh), sets how much energy you carry. A larger Wh figure means more potential range, but range is never a fixed number.

Real range depends on:

• Terrain and total climbing
• Assist level you ride in
• Wind, temperature and tyre pressure

Husqvarna mounts the battery in the down tube on a floating carrier with passive cooling. Frame size does not change with battery choice, so pick the size that fits, then choose the model and capacity for the range you need.

Range in plain terms. Off road e-MTB range is lower than the optimistic road figures you sometimes see. On hilly trails expect roughly 0.6 to 1 km of range per Wh, so a 720 Wh battery covers about 45 to 70 km of real trail riding, more on gentle terrain and less on big climbing days. Treat this as a ballpark, not a promise, and confirm against Husqvarna's official figures for the exact model and motor.

The trail all rounder: 150 mm of travel, a mullet wheel setup on M and up and a 65.5 degree head angle, playful yet planted.

Between two sizes?

If you fall between two sizes, favour the smaller frame for a more manoeuvrable, confident feel, since an e-bike already carries more weight low down. Choose the larger frame if you prioritise stability at speed or on long descents and have the reach for it. When in doubt, match the reach figure to a bike you already ride well.
