Summary

What the Agree is for
Cube sells two carbon road platforms. The Litening is the race bike. The Agree is the one for everyone else: a higher front end, a longer wheelbase, room for wider tyres, and a price that undercuts most of the market. It has been that way for several generations and the 2027 update keeps the recipe.
BiciDaStrada's headline on the launch was that the bike is lighter, but the difference is still the price. That is a fair summary.
What changed
Layup and weight. Cube says the carbon layup has been optimised to save 150 g across frame and fork. The resulting frame weight is 1,150 g, which the launch article rightly calls heavy by current standards. A modern race frame is 700 to 900 g. An endurance frame at this price is often over 1,000 g, so the Agree is not out of line for its bracket. It is simply not a light bike.
Aerodynamics. Frame, fork, seatpost and the new integrated cockpit are claimed to save 10.4 W against the previous Agree. Cube has not published the speed or yaw conditions for that figure. Take it as a direction of travel rather than a number to compare across brands.
Clearance. 36 mm, up from the previous generation. On an endurance bike this matters more than the watt figure. A 32 mm tyre at lower pressure is the single biggest comfort upgrade available, and now there is room for it with margin.
Details. UDH derailleur hanger for future compatibility. Shorter cranks and narrower bars across the size range, following the current trend. No storage compartment in the frame; instead there are mounts under the top tube for a bag that is included in the price and shaped to sit within the bike's airflow.
Geometry
Cube describes the geometry as balanced. In size 56 the stack to reach ratio is 1.462 and the chainstays are 412 mm. The head angle is slacker than a race bike, but only slightly. Six sizes.
For comparison, a race bike sits around 1.40 to 1.42 stack to reach and a relaxed endurance bike above 1.50. The Agree is in between, which is the right place for a rider who wants to ride long days without feeling like they are sitting upright. The full geometry chart is on Cube's site.

Two things stand out. Every build above the entry model ships with a power meter, which almost nobody else does at these prices. And the entry model has 105 Di2 with carbon wheels for €2,799, which is where the Agree's real argument lives.
Which one makes sense
If you want the best value: the ONE at €2,799. Electronic shifting and carbon wheels at this price is unusual, and 8.2 kg is fine for an endurance bike you will ride with a saddle bag anyway.
If you want the sweet spot: the SLX Race at €3,699 or the Pro at €3,299. Ultegra Di2 and a power meter, with the deeper wheels on the SLX Race worth the extra €400 if you ride flat roads.
If you are looking at the SLT models: at €5,000 the Agree is competing with race bikes from other brands that weigh a kilo less. The Dura-Ace and Red builds make sense only if you specifically want the endurance geometry and the 36 mm clearance at that level.
What the update does not change
The frame is still 1,150 g. The geometry is still a compromise between race and comfort. Cube has not said anything about colours or availability yet. And the previous generation, which is plentiful pre-owned, does 90% of what this one does.
That last point is the useful one. If the extra clearance and the integrated cockpit do not matter to you, a Pre-Owned Agree C:62 SLT with Dura-Ace Di2 currently sells for well under the new SLX Race.
