Who is Ugo De Rosa?

Ugo De Rosa was a master frame builder whose craftsmanship shaped the history of Italian bicycles. Born in 1934, he founded De Rosa in the early 1950s and earned early recognition for his steel frames. His reputation grew when cycling great Eddy Merckx chose De Rosa for his race bikes. Over the decades the brand moved from steel to titanium, aluminium and carbon fibre while keeping its focus on precise, well-finished frames. Ugo's work lives on in every De Rosa bike.
