On a pre-owned triathlon bike, inspect the carbon frame around the head tube, bottom bracket and any integrated storage or brake covers for cracks or impact marks. Confirm the aero cockpit, base bar and extensions are undamaged and can be adjusted to your fit, since TT position is very rider-specific. Check the groupset, brakes and any electronic shifting on the extensions, and confirm the frame size and stack and reach suit you.
