Sizing a Cannondale gravel bike
Cannondale's gravel range splits into two characters: the relaxed, comfort focused Topstone, offered in carbon and alloy, and the race tuned SuperX that fits like the SuperSix EVO road bike on dirt. One wrinkle to know: the carbon Topstone and the SuperX now use cm numbers while the alloy Topstone still uses letters, so compare stack and reach rather than the label when cross shopping within the range. The carbon Topstone also gets Kingpin rear flex for comfort; the alloy does not.

Please note. These sizes are a starting point, not a guarantee. Torso and inseam and riding style shift the choice as much as height, and the race and endurance models fit very differently. A fit check settles any doubt.
Quick size finder
Find your height, cross check your inside leg, and read across. The carbon Topstone and SuperX use cm sizes; the alloy Topstone uses letters.
| Rider height | Leg length (inseam) | Topstone Carbon | Topstone Alloy | SuperX (race) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 150 to 158 cm | 68 to 74 cm | 47 | XS | 46 |
| 158 to 166 cm | 73 to 78 cm | 47 to 51 | XS to S | 46 to 51 |
| 166 to 172 cm | 77 to 82 cm | 51 | S | 51 |
| 172 to 178 cm | 81 to 86 cm | 54 | M | 54 |
| 178 to 184 cm | 85 to 90 cm | 56 | M to L | 56 |
| 184 to 190 cm | 89 to 93 cm | 58 | L | 58 |
| 190 to 200 cm | 92 to 99 cm | 61 | XL | 61 |
Between two sizes, most riders go smaller since stem and seatpost adjust up easily; long torso riders can size up.
How to measure yourself
Height. Stand barefoot against a wall, heels together, and measure to the top of your head.
Leg length (inseam). Barefoot, feet about 15 cm apart, press a book up to the wall like a saddle and measure floor to spine.
Then use reach. The Topstone sits tall and the SuperX low, so match the reach below to a bike you like to pick the fit you want.
Topstone Carbon (endurance)
The Topstone Carbon is the relaxed, tall stack endurance bike, with Kingpin rear flex for up to about 30 mm of comfort and downtube storage. It is upright and built for long mixed surface days and light bikepacking. Available in 6 sizes: 47 to 61.

Topstone Alloy (endurance, value)
The Topstone Alloy shares the same relaxed endurance position but in rigid aluminium, with no Kingpin, an affordable do it all gravel and commuter frame. It is the one current gravel model still on letter sizing. Available in 5 sizes: XS to XL.

SuperX (gravel race)
The SuperX is the gravel racer, long and low with a road like position that mirrors the SuperSix EVO. Road riders can generally take their usual road size; anyone wanting a relaxed gravel posture should look at the Topstone instead. Available in 6 sizes: 46 to 61.

What Cannondale riders find
The Topstone fits fairly true to size, with owners and retailers suggesting the smaller size when between two, since stem and seatpost raise easily, and long torso riders can go up. Its stack is notably tall and relaxed, so riders coming from race bikes may want spacers removed or a longer, lower stem. The Kingpin rear on the carbon Topstone is a subtle take the edge off comfort feature rather than active suspension, and the alloy has none. The SuperX fits like the SuperSix EVO road bike, so road riders take their usual road size, and it is long and low rather than upright. Because the carbon Topstone and SuperX use cm numbers while the alloy uses letters, always compare stack and reach when cross shopping.
Between two sizes?
Go smaller for a sharper reach, since the front end raises easily, or larger for more reach and stability. Pick the Topstone for upright comfort or the SuperX for a race position. Send us your height, inside leg and current reach and we will confirm.

These sizes are guidance, not a fitting guarantee. Reach and stack are official Cannondale data; the SuperX and SuperSix EVO SE share the same race frame. Rider height ranges follow Cannondale's charts where published and are estimated for the race models, so confirm against the specific bike you are buying.
