Bianchi Road Bike Size Guide: Find Your Fit by Height and Leg Length

Bianchi Road Bike Size Guide: Find Your Fit by Height and Leg Length

Bianchi road bike size guide

Bianchi builds some of the most desirable road bikes in the world, but its sizing catches a lot of buyers out. The brand measures frame size by seat tube length (from the centre of the bottom bracket to the top of the seat tube), not by top tube length like many other makers. That means a 55 Bianchi does not always feel like a 55 from another brand, and even within Bianchi one model can sit lower and longer while another feels easier on the back and shoulders.

This guide gives you a quick recommendation by height and leg length, then the detail you need to get it right: the exact sizes each current road model comes in, official stack and reach figures, and what real riders report about how Bianchi fits. Ready to shop? Browse all Bianchi bikes at Bikeroom.

Please note: The size suggestions in this guide are indicative only. They are a starting point based on average body proportions and official geometry, not a guarantee of fit. Your ideal size can vary with torso and arm length, flexibility, riding style, and personal preference. For the best result, confirm your size with a professional bike fit or contact our team before you buy.

Quick size finder

Find your height row, cross check your inseam (leg length), and read across to your model. Sizes are Bianchi frame sizes in cm. If you sit between two rows, see the fit notes below.

Rider height Leg length (inseam) Oltre (aero) Specialissima (all rounder) Infinito (endurance) Sprint (all rounder)
157 to 164 cm 71 to 76 cm 47 47 47 47
164 to 170 cm 75 to 80 cm 50 50 50 50
170 to 177 cm 79 to 84 cm 53 53 53 53
176 to 183 cm 83 to 88 cm 55 55 55 55
182 to 188 cm 87 to 92 cm 57 57 57 57
187 to 194 cm 91 to 96 cm 59 59 59 59
193 to 200 cm 95 to 100 cm 59 (max) 59 (max) 61 61

These ranges are a starting point. Your ideal size also depends on torso and arm length, flexibility, and how aggressive you want your position. When in doubt, confirm with a professional fit.

How to measure yourself

Height. Stand barefoot against a wall, heels together, and measure to the top of your head.

Leg length (inseam). Stand barefoot with feet about 15 cm apart. Place a book spine up between your legs and press it to the wall as if it were a saddle. Measure from the floor to the top of the book. That figure is your inseam.

The quick formula. Multiply your inseam in cm by 0.66 to get an approximate Bianchi frame size in cm. Example: an 82 cm inseam gives roughly a 54, so you would look at a 53 or 55. Treat this as a cross check on the table above, not a final answer.

The current road range and how each model fits

Oltre (aero race)

The Oltre is Bianchi's aero flagship, built for speed with an aggressive, low and long position. It has the lowest front end of the range, so it rewards flexible riders and racers. Available in 6 sizes: 47, 50, 53, 55, 57 and 59.

Frame size 47 50 53 55 57 59
Stack (mm) 470 478 504 520 536 555
Reach (mm) 385 392 393 397 402 406
Rider height 157 to 164 164 to 170 170 to 177 176 to 183 182 to 190 188 to 198

Because the Oltre runs low and long, riders who want a racier position often stay on size, while anyone wanting a touch more height should look at the Infinito or add spacers within the model's limits.

La Nuova Specialissima (lightweight all rounder)

The Specialissima is the do everything race bike: light for climbing, now with aero gains, and a balanced position that sits between the aggressive Oltre and the relaxed Infinito. Available in 6 sizes: 47, 50, 53, 55, 57 and 59.

Frame size 47 50 53 55 57 59
Stack (mm) 486 494 520 536 552 571
Reach (mm) 379 386 387 391 397 400
Rider height 157 to 164 164 to 170 170 to 177 176 to 183 182 to 190 188 to 198

The Specialissima carries a slightly higher stack and shorter reach than the Oltre at the same size, so it feels a little more forgiving while staying race sharp.

Infinito (endurance)

The Infinito is Bianchi's endurance bike, with the highest stack and shortest reach of the range for a comfortable, sustainable position over long distances. It runs the fullest size range. Available in 7 sizes: 47, 50, 53, 55, 57, 59 and 61.

Frame size 47 50 53 55 57 59 61
Stack (mm) 521 539 553 569 585 600 614
Reach (mm) 371 375 377 381 386 391 392
Rider height 157 to 164 164 to 170 170 to 177 176 to 183 182 to 188 187 to 194 193 to 200

Thanks to its tall stack, the Infinito often lets riders who struggle with race position drop the spacers and still ride comfortably. If you are between sizes and want more comfort, size up here with confidence.

Sprint (all rounder)

The Sprint is the accessible race bike in the range: sharp handling and a versatile position that suits everything from first road bike to fast group rides. Available in 7 sizes: 47, 50, 53, 55, 57, 59 and 61.

Frame size 47 50 53 55 57 59 61
Stack (mm) 497 505 529 545 561 580 599
Reach (mm) 377 383 384 388 393 396 397
Rider height 157 to 164 164 to 170 170 to 177 176 to 183 182 to 188 187 to 194 193 to 200

The Sprint sits between the Specialissima and the Infinito for stack, making it one of the easiest Bianchi to fit for a wide range of riders.

What riders say about Bianchi sizing

Feedback from cycling forums and long term owners points to a few consistent themes worth knowing before you buy.

Bianchi sizes read small on paper. Because sizing is based on seat tube length, a Bianchi number often looks smaller than an equivalent bike from another brand. Several owners note that a 55 Bianchi lines up closer to a 56 or 57 elsewhere, and that top tubes can feel a touch short. Compare stack and reach, not just the size label.

When between sizes, most riders size down. The common approach is to take the smaller frame and dial in reach with a slightly longer stem for a sportier, more precise feel. Riders after comfort do the opposite and size up, especially on the Infinito.

Proportions matter more than height alone. Owners with long legs and a shorter torso tend to be happiest sizing down, while long torso riders lean the other way. Taller riders in particular report that the chart size is not always the comfortable size, so a test ride or fit pays off.

Modern Bianchi can run low at the front. The race models have relatively low stack, so if you are not very flexible, factor in spacers, a higher rise stem, or choose the Infinito.

Still unsure between two sizes?

Use this simple rule: choose the smaller frame for sharper handling and a racier position, or the larger frame for more comfort and stability. A shorter torso or long legs points to the smaller size, a long torso or short legs points to the larger one.
