Sizing an Amflow e-MTB
Amflow is DJI's mountain bike brand, and its range is entirely electric, built around the powerful Avinox drive. That shapes the sizing in two ways you should know before buying. First, the range starts at Medium, so there is no Small, and riders under about 162 cm are not really catered for. Second, the reach is moderate rather than long, and the original PL sits low at the front, so several owners fit a higher rise bar. The newer PX and PR raise the front end and add extensive geometry adjustment, which largely answers that.

A note before you choose. Amflow is a very new brand, so these sizes are a starting point drawn from official geometry, not a guarantee. On an e-MTB your reach preference and riding style matter, and where the sizes overlap Amflow says to decide by reach. A test ride settles it.
Your Amflow size by height
Amflow uses one height chart across the PL, PX and PR. Find your height, then use the reach table to decide where the bands overlap.
| Rider height | Amflow size |
|---|---|
| 162 to 170 cm | M |
| 170 to 178 cm | M or L |
| 178 to 185 cm | L |
| 185 to 191 cm | XL |
| 191 to 201 cm | XXL |
There is no size below Medium. Where sizes overlap, longer reach rides more stretched and aggressive, shorter reach more upright, so pick by the feel you want.
How to choose your size
Start with height, then compare reach with a bike you already ride well. Because the front end is on the low side, especially on the PL, factor in whether you will want a higher rise bar for a more comfortable, controlled position. Note the wheel setup: the PL ships as a full 29 and converts to a mullet with a flip chip, while the PX and PR ship as mullets and convert to full 29.
The range, model by model
All three are full power all mountain e-MTBs with 150 mm of rear travel, offered in Medium to XXL.
PL Carbon and PL Carbon Pro
The original Amflow, with fixed geometry and a notably low front end. Lively and manoeuvrable, but taller riders in particular often add bar rise. Ships as a full 29 with a flip chip to run mullet.
| Frame size | M | L | XL | XXL |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Reach (mm) | 452 | 475 | 500 | 525 |
| Rider height | 162 to 178 | 170 to 185 | 175 to 191 | 185 to 201 |
PX Carbon and PX Carbon Pro
The newer flagship, with a stronger motor, a taller front end and 40 geometry configurations. It rides more neutral and tuneable than the PL and comes as a mullet. This is the one to pick if the PL's low front puts you off.
| Frame size | M | L | XL | XXL |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Reach (mm) | 455 | 478 | 503 | 528 |
| Rider height | 162 to 178 | 170 to 185 | 175 to 191 | 185 to 201 |
PR Carbon and PR Carbon Pro
The more affordable model with a removable battery, sharing the PX's taller stack and 40 geometry configs in a lower cost package. Ships as a mullet.
| Frame size | M | L | XL | XXL |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Reach (mm) | 452 | 475 | 500 | 527 |
| Rider height | 162 to 178 | 170 to 185 | 175 to 191 | 185 to 201 |
PX and PR reach figures are the stock configuration; the 40 geometry settings shift them a few millimetres.
What Amflow riders find
The reach ladder is moderate by current standards, so testers describe the fit as balanced but a little conservative, and the smallest Medium leaves shorter riders stretched. The most repeated PL criticism is the low front end, a low rise bar on a short steerer, with reviewers recommending a taller bar. The newer PX and PR raise the stack and steepen the seat angle, which addresses it. On wheels, the PL ships full 29 and converts to a mullet in minutes, which testers found sharpened handling on steeper trails, while the PX and PR come as mullets already. Standover is low and consistent across sizes, so it rarely limits your choice. Riders coming from longer reaching brands sometimes find the Large a touch short and consider sizing up, so judge by reach rather than the height chart alone.
Between two sizes?
Go smaller for a more upright, manoeuvrable bike, or larger for a stretched, stable, aggressive stance. Since there is no Small and the reach is moderate, taller riders on a boundary often lean up a size. Tell us your height and inside leg and we will confirm the fit and whether a rise bar makes sense.

New brand, big decision? Ask our concierge
Amflow is new and the size range starts at Medium, so it is worth a conversation. Share your height, inside leg and riding style with our concierge team and we will recommend a size, model and whether to plan for a rise bar. Talk to our concierge.
These sizes are guidance from official Amflow geometry, not a fitting guarantee. As a very new brand, independent fit feedback is richest for the PL, while the PX and PR are recent, and their figures are the stock geometry setting. Always confirm against the specific bike you are buying.
