Wilier Road Bike Size Guide: Find Your Fit by Height and Leg Length

Wilier Road Bike Size Guide: Find Your Fit by Height and Leg Length

Wilier road bike size guide

Wilier Triestina sizes its road bikes in letters, from XS to XXL, and builds fit around its Accu Fit system, which combines the frame size with bar, stem, spacers and seatpost. The important thing to know is that Wilier race bikes run low at the front and comparatively long in reach, while the Granturismo endurance bike sits far more upright. So an M Filante and an M Granturismo are very different bikes even though they share a letter.

This guide gives you a quick recommendation by height and leg length, then the detail for each current road model: the sizes, official stack and reach, and what real riders report. Ready to shop? Browse all Wilier bikes at Bikeroom.

Please note: The size suggestions in this guide are indicative only. Wilier does not publish official rider height charts, so the height ranges here are our best estimates from geometry and retailer data, not a guarantee of fit. Your ideal size can vary with torso and arm length, flexibility, riding style, and personal preference. For the best result, confirm your size with a professional bike fit or contact our team before you buy.

Quick size finder

Find your height row, cross check your leg length (inseam), and read across to your model. All four models use the same XS to XXL letters, but the Granturismo places you more upright at any given size. Choose by fit position, not just the letter.

Rider height Leg length (inseam) Filante SLR (aero) Zero SLR (lightweight) Granturismo SLR (endurance) Verticale SLR (climber)
155 to 164 cm 71 to 76 cm XS XS XS XS
164 to 171 cm 75 to 80 cm S S S S
171 to 178 cm 79 to 84 cm M M M M
177 to 184 cm 83 to 88 cm L L L L
183 to 190 cm 87 to 92 cm XL XL XL XL
189 to 198 cm 91 to 98 cm XXL XXL XXL XXL

These ranges are a starting point. Because Wilier publishes no official height chart, treat the letters as a guide and confirm with stack and reach. Your ideal size also depends on torso and arm length, flexibility, and how aggressive you want your position.

How to measure yourself

Height. Stand barefoot against a wall, heels together, and measure to the top of your head.

Leg length (inseam). Stand barefoot with feet about 15 cm apart. Place a book spine up between your legs and press it to the wall as if it were a saddle. Measure from the floor to the top of the book. That figure is your inseam.

The quick formula. Multiply your inseam in cm by 0.66 to get an approximate frame size in cm, then match it to the letter whose stack and reach suit you. Because the integrated cockpit needs at least a couple of spacers, the real front end sits a little taller than the raw stack figure. Treat this as a cross check on the table above, not a final answer.

The current road range and how each model fits

Filante SLR (aero)

The Filante SLR is the aero race bike and the most aggressive fit in the range, a long, low, stretched position built for speed. Figures below are for the current generation. Available in 6 sizes: XS, S, M, L, XL and XXL.

Frame size XS S M L XL XXL
Stack (mm) 505 523 541 559 577 595
Reach (mm) 374 380 387 393 400 408
Rider height 155 to 165 163 to 172 170 to 178 177 to 184 183 to 190 189 to 198

The racy end of the range. Reviewers found the position stays aggressive even with spacers, so it suits flexible and competitive riders. Some Filante SLR in stock may be the previous generation with slightly different reach, so check the specific bike.

Zero SLR (lightweight)

The Zero SLR, written 0 SLR, is the lightweight all rounder and climber. Its race geometry is almost identical to the Filante, within a couple of millimetres, but with a rounder, more comfortable bar. Available in 6 sizes: XS, S, M, L, XL and XXL.

Frame size XS S M L XL XXL
Stack (mm) 503 519 536 554 572 591
Reach (mm) 376 381 386 391 397 402
Rider height 156 to 166 163 to 173 170 to 177 177 to 182 183 to 188 189 to 196

Race low like the Filante, but the friendlier choice for all round riding and climbing.

Granturismo SLR (endurance)

The Granturismo SLR is the relaxed outlier, with a classic tall stack and short reach endurance position and clearance for larger tyres. At size M it carries about 28 mm more stack and 9 mm less reach than the Filante, close to a Giant Defy in feel. Available in 6 sizes: XS, S, M, L, XL and XXL.

Frame size XS S M L XL XXL
Stack (mm) 527 546 566 586 604 625
Reach (mm) 369 374 379 384 389 395
Rider height 150 to 163 160 to 172 168 to 178 176 to 184 182 to 190 189 and up

The comfort choice. If the Filante or Zero feels too low at the front, the Granturismo is the Wilier for you.

Verticale SLR (climber)

The Verticale SLR is the dedicated lightweight climber, sporty but not extreme, sitting between the Granturismo's comfort and the Filante's aggression. Its stack and reach match Wilier's current race platform. Available in 6 sizes: XS, S, M, L, XL and XXL.

Frame size XS S M L XL XXL
Stack (mm) 505 523 541 559 577 595
Reach (mm) 373 380 387 393 400 408
Rider height 155 to 165 163 to 172 170 to 178 177 to 184 183 to 190 189 to 198

A racy but manageable fit for a pure climbing bike, close to the Filante in position.

What riders say about Wilier sizing

Feedback from cycling reviews, forums and owners points to a few consistent themes worth knowing before you buy.

The race bikes run low and long. This is the strongest and most consistent finding. The Filante, Zero and Verticale put you in an aggressive position that stays low even with spacers, so factor in your flexibility.

Filante and Zero fit almost the same. Their stack and reach are within a couple of millimetres, so choose between them on ride character and bar shape rather than fit. The Granturismo is the clear relaxed alternative.

The integrated cockpit shapes your fit. A minimum of about two spacers is required, so the real front end is a touch taller than the chart, and you cannot slam the bar. Stem length is also paired to bar width, so plan the cockpit at purchase.

Many owners size down and build up. Riders often pick the smaller frame and set reach with the cockpit rather than sizing up. Very tall riders should check the XXL, since its stack is roughly equal to a 58 cm elsewhere and can run out of height.

Still unsure between two sizes?

Use this simple rule: choose the smaller frame for sharper handling and a racier position, or the larger frame for more comfort and stability. A shorter torso or long legs points to the smaller size, a long torso or short legs points to the larger one.
