Wilier Mountain Bike Size Guide: Urta SLR, Urta Max SLR and 110FX

Wilier Mountain Bike Size Guide: Urta SLR, Urta Max SLR and 110FX

Finding your size on a Wilier Urta SLR, Urta Max SLR or 110FX

Wilier cross country range is built around three race focused platforms. The Urta SLR is the 100 mm pure XC weapon, the Urta Max SLR stretches to 120 mm for marathon and technical courses, and the 110FX is the down country all rounder that trades a little race edge for trail capability. On a mountain bike, frame size is a letter rather than a number, and reach is what really sets the fit. Choose your size on reach and rider height, then remember the golden rule: size down for a playful, flickable bike, size up for stability at speed. Explore current stock on the Wilier collection.

Please note. These ranges are indicative and meant to steer you to the right size, not to guarantee a perfect fit. Proportions, flexibility, terrain and riding style all matter, and XC riders often have a strong personal preference for a longer or shorter cockpit. Treat this as a starting point and confirm with a proper fit or a quick word with our concierge.

Quick size finder

Rider height Leg length (inseam) Urta SLR Urta Max SLR 110FX
156 to 172 cm 72 to 80 cm S S S
169 to 178 cm 78 to 85 cm M M M
174 to 186 cm 83 to 90 cm L L L
183 to 194 cm 88 to 95 cm XL XL XL

Where two sizes overlap, your choice of playful versus stable decides. Reach is the number that matters most, so the per model tables below are framed around reach and rider height.

How to measure yourself

Height. Stand against a wall without shoes, heels together, and mark the top of your head. Measure from the floor to the mark.

Leg length (inseam). Stand with your back to the wall, feet about 15 cm apart, and press a hardback book up into your crotch like a saddle. Keep it level, mark the top edge on the wall and measure from the floor. On a mountain bike this helps confirm standover clearance and dropper post length as well as saddle height.

Wilier Urta SLR

The 100 mm pure cross country racer. A steeper head angle and a taut, efficient chassis make it fast and precise on climbs and race circuits, best suited to riders who want a low, forward XC position.

Size Stack (mm) Reach (mm) Rider height
S 593 400 156 to 172 cm
M 596 426 169 to 178 cm
L 604 453 174 to 186 cm
XL 613 480 183 to 194 cm

Fit character: sharp, efficient and race ready, happiest with a committed XC position.

Wilier Urta Max SLR

The 120 mm marathon and technical XC bike. A slacker head angle, longer reach and a lower bottom bracket keep you in a racing position while adding control when the terrain turns rough. Sizes S and M carry a 100 mm dropper, L and XL a 125 mm dropper.

Size Stack (mm) Reach (mm) Rider height
S 598 415 156 to 172 cm
M 598 443 169 to 178 cm
L 602 471 174 to 186 cm
XL 613 500 183 to 194 cm

Fit character: racy but more capable, longer and more composed than the Urta SLR on technical ground.

Wilier 110FX

The down country all rounder. Slightly more relaxed numbers than the pure Urta bikes give it broader trail manners while keeping the light, fast Wilier character, a good pick if you want one bike for racing and after work trail rides.

Size Stack (mm) Reach (mm) Rider height
S 589 395 156 to 172 cm
M 596 417 169 to 177 cm
L 605 440 174 to 186 cm
XL 614 463 183 to 194 cm

Fit character: versatile and confident, the trail friendly member of the Wilier XC family.

What Wilier riders find

Owners describe the Urta SLR as a genuine race rocket, light and eager on climbs with the tight, precise handling XC racers want. The Urta Max SLR earns praise for keeping that race feel while adding real composure on rough marathon courses, thanks to the longer reach and slacker front. The 110FX is the pick for riders who want the Wilier speed but ride mixed trails, valued for how balanced and easy going it feels compared with the sharper Urta bikes. A recurring note across all three: the reach steps between sizes are large, so riders between sizes should decide deliberately rather than default to height alone.

Between two sizes?

This is where the playful versus stable rule earns its keep. Size down for a shorter reach, quicker handling and a bike that flicks easily through tight, technical trails. Size up for a longer front centre that stays planted at speed and on steep descents, and that stretches you into a more powerful climbing position. Tight, twisty terrain and a preference for maneuverability favour the smaller size. Fast, open, rough courses and a taste for stability favour the larger size.
