Bianchi Gravel Bike Size Guide: Find Your Fit by Height and Reach

Bianchi Gravel Bike Size Guide: Find Your Fit by Height and Reach

Sizing a Bianchi gravel bike

Bianchi splits gravel into racing and adventure. The Impulso is the gravel racer, the carbon Arcadex the upright adventure bike, and the new alloy Arcadex AL the longest and most planted of the three. Helpfully, all three share the same seat tube lengths, so your size letter carries across the range even though the reach and stack differ. Sizing is by height and reach; think of the Impulso as the raciest, the carbon Arcadex as the shortest and most upright, and the Arcadex AL as the longest and most stable.

Please note. These sizes are a starting point, not a guarantee. Bianchi does not publish per size height ranges for these models, so the bands here are estimated from geometry; the reach and stack figures are official. A fit check settles any doubt.

Quick size finder

Find your height, cross check your inside leg, and read across. All three models use the same five size letters and share seat tube lengths, so the size holds across the range; the tables below show how the reach differs.

Rider height Leg length (inseam) Bianchi gravel size
160 to 168 cm 74 to 79 cm XS
167 to 175 cm 78 to 83 cm SM
174 to 182 cm 82 to 87 cm MD
180 to 188 cm 86 to 91 cm LG
186 to 198 cm 90 to 97 cm XL

Between two sizes, size up for comfort and an upright position, or down for performance and a shorter reach.

How to measure yourself

Height. Stand barefoot against a wall, heels together, and measure to the top of your head.

Leg length (inseam). Barefoot, feet about 15 cm apart, press a book up to the wall like a saddle and measure floor to spine.

Then use reach. Because the three models sit quite differently, compare the reach below with a bike you already ride well to pick the model that matches your position.

Impulso (gravel racing)

The Impulso is the race tuned gravel bike, with the longest reach and lowest stack of the three, a low bottom bracket and a longish wheelbase for stability at speed. It is the aggressive, stretched, road race like option. Available in 5 sizes: XS, SM, MD, LG and XL.

Frame size XS SM MD LG XL
Stack (mm) 517 534 554 580 608
Reach (mm) 376 378 391 401 414
Rider height 160 to 168 167 to 175 174 to 182 180 to 188 186 to 198

The raciest of the range, best with 38 to 42 mm tyres and aimed at gravel racing and fast granfondos.

Arcadex (adventure, carbon)

The Arcadex is the carbon adventure bike, with the tallest stack and shortest reach of the three for an upright, comfortable, all day and multi day position. Long torso riders often add a longer stem. Available in 5 sizes: XS, SM, MD, LG and XL.

Frame size XS SM MD LG XL
Stack (mm) 544 563 584 610 638
Reach (mm) 376 383 391 402 410
Rider height 160 to 168 167 to 175 174 to 182 180 to 188 186 to 198

Reviewers note the Arcadex runs short with a tall front, so riders wanting a stretched position fit a longer stem, and those wanting a lower front remove spacers. Room for 50 mm tyres.

Arcadex AL (adventure, aluminium)

The new alloy Arcadex AL is the longest and most planted, with the longest reach and wheelbase in the range and a tall front, a stable, all day and bikepacking cruiser with fork cargo mounts. Available in 5 sizes: XS, SM, MD, LG and XL.

Frame size XS SM MD LG XL
Stack (mm) 537 556 576 597 616
Reach (mm) 389 396 404 413 423
Rider height 160 to 168 167 to 175 174 to 182 180 to 188 186 to 198

Longer in reach than either carbon model, so it feels roomier at the same size; its long wheelbase gives calm, planted handling rather than quick steering.

What Bianchi gravel riders find

The three platforms share seat tube lengths, so your size letter carries across even though the fit character changes: the Impulso is the raciest and lowest, the carbon Arcadex the shortest and most upright, and the Arcadex AL the longest and most stable. The most consistent review note is that the carbon Arcadex runs short, with a notably tall stack and short reach compared with rivals, so riders wanting a stretched position run a longer stem and those wanting a lower front remove spacers. Tall riders report the XL is a good fit rather than needing more, and the carbon frame is smooth but stiff, which powerful riders like. The new Impulso is longer and more stable than the previous version, an aggressive race position, while the Arcadex AL is a relaxed, planted adventure platform with dropper and suspension post flexibility.

Between two sizes?

Size up for comfort and a taller front, down for a racier, shorter reach. Pick the model first for fit character, then the size by height and reach. Send us your height, inside leg and current bike's reach and we will confirm.

These sizes are guidance, not a fitting guarantee. Reach and stack are official Bianchi data and cross checked; rider height ranges are estimated, since Bianchi does not publish per size heights for these models. Always confirm against the specific bike you are buying.
