Marketplace Catalog Manager

Marketplace Catalog Manager

Full time | Cusano Milanino, MI (Italy)

About us

The global platform for buying dream bikes: an Italian marketplace for high-end bicycles, with a hybrid business model—E-commerce (purchasing and reselling used bikes, mostly from World Tour teams) and Marketplace (shops subscribe to list and sell their inventory).

The role

We're looking for a Marketplace Catalog Manager who will become the guardian of quality and commercial consistency for the Bike Room online catalog. A hybrid role bridging quality control, pricing intelligence, and commercial coordination: works daily on the published products, spots errors and opportunities, and acts as the bridge between the commercial team, marketing, and brands.

Responsabilities

Online catalog oversight. Verifies daily the accuracy of products published on the marketplace: technical specs, prices, availability, images, sizes, variants, categorization. Ensures every product online is sellable, accurate, and compliant with Bike Room standards.

Control tool development. Designs and implements — in collaboration with the dev team — automated catalog verification tools: checks for anomalous prices, incomplete listings, duplicate products, inconsistencies across dealers, deviations from MSRP. The goal is to move from manual checks to a system that flags errors autonomously.

Anomaly management. When a tool flags a problem, is the person who resolves it: contacts the dealer, fixes the listing, updates the price, suspends the product if needed. Tracks recurring issues to improve upstream controls.

Coordination with commercial and marketing. Proactively flags the most interesting offers in the catalog to the commercial and marketing teams — underpriced bikes, campaign opportunities, high-margin products to push. Acts as the internal source of intelligence on “what good stuff we have online right now”.

Brand protection and producer relations. Monitors the discounts applied by dealers on current-year models and steps in when prices drop below thresholds that could compromise Bike Room's relationship with brands. Negotiates with the dealer to remove or realign the offer, and keeps an open channel with brands on sensitive cases.

Required qualifications

An analytical, data-oriented person, comfortable with advanced Excel/Google Sheets and — ideally — with SQL or scripting knowledge (Python, Apps Script) to build control tools. Knowledge of the bike industry (or strong inclination to learn it quickly). Assertive communication skills with dealers and brands. Prior experience in marketplaces, e-commerce, or pricing is a significant plus. Italian and English required; a third European language (German or French) is appreciated with international expansion in mind.

Passions

We believe passion fuels innovation and creativity. We’re especially interested in candidates with personal interests in one or more of the following:

  • Cycling
  • Outdoor sports
  • Scale-ups and technology

Job offer

RAL (Gross Annual Salary) between 25,000 and 30,000 euros, commensurate with experience.

Meal vouchers.

Fuel card for field travel (visits to sellers, trade fairs, industry events).

Possibility of one day of smart working per week.
