Pinarello Road Bike Size Guide: Find Your Fit by Height and Leg Length

Pinarello Road Bike Size Guide: Find Your Fit by Height and Leg Length

Pinarello road bike size guide

Pinarello sizes its road bikes by seat tube length in millimetres, measured centre to centre, which is why the range is packed with half sizes like 46.5, 51.5 and 57.5. That fine grid is a real advantage once you know how to read it: you can dial in fit precisely, but you also need to compare stack and reach rather than trust the number alone. The current road range splits into two clear families, a race geometry (Dogma F and the F Series) and an endurance geometry (Dogma X and the Pinarello X Series).

This guide gives you a quick recommendation by height and leg length, then the detail for each current road model: the exact sizes, official stack and reach, and what real riders report. Ready to shop? Browse all Pinarello bikes at Bikeroom.

Please note: The size suggestions in this guide are indicative only. They are a starting point based on average body proportions and official geometry, not a guarantee of fit. Your ideal size can vary with torso and arm length, flexibility, riding style, and personal preference. For the best result, confirm your size with a professional bike fit or contact our team before you buy.

Quick size finder

Find your height row, cross check your leg length (inseam), and read across to your model. The Dogma F and Dogma X share the same size labels; the Pinarello X Series uses its own numbers. The F Series (F5, F7, F9) uses Dogma F geometry, and the X Series covers X1, X3, X5, X7 and X9.

Rider height Leg length (inseam) Dogma F & F Series Dogma X Pinarello X Series
under 165 cm under 74 cm 43 43 43
165 to 170 cm 74 to 77 cm 46.5 46.5 46
170 to 174 cm 77 to 80 cm 50 50 49
174 to 177 cm 80 to 82 cm 51.5 51.5 51.5
177 to 180 cm 82 to 85 cm 53 53 53
180 to 184 cm 85 to 88 cm 54 54 54.5
184 to 188 cm 88 to 91 cm 56 56 56
188 to 192 cm 91 to 94 cm 57.5 57.5 58
192 to 196 cm 94 to 98 cm 59.5 59.5 60
196 cm and up 98 cm and up 62 62 60

These ranges are a starting point. With so many half sizes, many riders land between two rows, so use stack and reach to decide. Your ideal size also depends on torso and arm length, flexibility, and how aggressive you want your position.

How to measure yourself

Height. Stand barefoot against a wall, heels together, and measure to the top of your head.

Leg length (inseam). Stand barefoot with feet about 15 cm apart. Place a book spine up between your legs and press it to the wall as if it were a saddle. Measure from the floor to the top of the book. That figure is your inseam.

The quick formula. Multiply your inseam in cm by 0.66 to get an approximate frame size in cm, then match it to the nearest Pinarello number. Example: an 82 cm inseam gives about 54, which points to a 53 or 54. Treat this as a cross check on the table above, not a final answer.

The current road range and how each model fits

Dogma F (race flagship)

The Dogma F is the flagship race bike, with an aggressive low and long position. With 11 frame sizes plus multiple bar and seatpost options, it gets close to custom fit from a stock bike. Available in 11 sizes: 43, 46.5, 50, 51.5, 53, 54, 55, 56, 57.5, 59.5 and 62. The F Series (F5, F7, F9) shares this exact geometry.

Frame size 43 46.5 50 51.5 53 54 55 56 57.5 59.5 62
Stack (mm) 502 517 525 532 542 551 562 570 585 613 652
Reach (mm) 352 365 372 378 383 385 389 391 397 393 410
Rider height under 165 165 to 169 167 to 171 170 to 174 173 to 177 176 to 180 178 to 182 180 to 185 183 to 190 188 to 194 194+

The racy end of Pinarello. Low and long, with the widest size and cockpit choice to fine tune it.

Dogma X (endurance flagship)

The Dogma X takes the Dogma race pedigree and adds comfort: a taller stack, slightly shorter reach and clearance for larger tyres, for a race bike with the edge taken off. Same 11 size labels as the Dogma F. Available in 11 sizes: 43, 46.5, 50, 51.5, 53, 54, 55, 56, 57.5, 59.5 and 62.

Frame size 43 46.5 50 51.5 53 54 55 56 57.5 59.5 62
Stack (mm) 524 536 542 549 559 568 579 588 602 632 670
Reach (mm) 349 358 365 372 379 381 383 385 391 395 404
Rider height under 165 165 to 169 167 to 171 170 to 174 173 to 177 176 to 180 178 to 182 180 to 185 183 to 190 188 to 194 194+

At a given size the Dogma X sits you roughly 18 mm higher and 6 mm shorter in reach than the Dogma F, so it is friendlier for long days without losing sharpness.

Pinarello X Series (endurance)

The X Series (X1, X3, X5, X7, X9) is the accessible endurance range, with the most relaxed position in the road lineup across nine sizes. Stable 415 mm chainstays and clearance for larger tyres make it a comfortable all day bike. Available in 9 sizes: 43, 46, 49, 51.5, 53, 54.5, 56, 58 and 60.

Frame size 43 46 49 51.5 53 54.5 56 58 60
Stack (mm) 528 539 552 564 576 588 602 620 640
Reach (mm) 342 352 362 369 373 377 380 384 388
Rider height under 165 163 to 169 169 to 173 173 to 176 175 to 178 176 to 180 181 to 185 185 to 190 190+

The most relaxed and forgiving Pinarello road fit. At the same nominal size it sits taller and shorter than the Dogma F, ideal if a full race position feels like too much.

What riders say about Pinarello sizing

Feedback from cycling forums, reviews and long term owners points to a few consistent themes worth knowing before you buy.

Pinarello frames tend to build up a little bigger. Owners often note a Pinarello feels slightly larger than the same labelled size from brands like Cervelo or Canyon, so do not assume your usual number carries over. Compare stack and reach, not the label.

The half sizes are a genuine advantage. With 9 to 11 sizes, most riders can dial in fit precisely. Many find they sit between two adjacent sizes and choose based on the bar drop and reach they want.

The Dogma F fit is aggressive. Riders coming from an endurance or all road bike are regularly warned to expect a lower and longer posture. If that is a big jump, the Dogma X or X Series is the friendlier choice.

Get the fit right up front. Because the integrated cockpit and seatpost setback are chosen at purchase and costly to change later, reviewers strongly recommend a professional fit before ordering. Avoid sizing down so far that you need a very long stem and lots of exposed seatpost.

Still unsure between two sizes?

Use this simple rule: choose the smaller frame for sharper handling and a racier position, or the larger frame for more comfort and stability. A shorter torso or long legs points to the smaller size, a long torso or short legs points to the larger one.
