Sizing a Merida road bike
One thing shapes almost every Merida sizing decision: the bikes run large for the label. Reviewers repeatedly note that a Merida in a given size fits like a size up from many rivals, so a rider used to a 56 or Large elsewhere often lands on a Merida Medium. That makes comparing stack and reach, not the letter, the smart move, and it means most people between two sizes should take the smaller. Merida also splits its race bikes, the Reacto and Scultura, which now share the same geometry, from the taller, comfort focused Scultura Endurance.

Please note. These sizes are a starting point, not a guarantee. Merida routes buyers to its SmartFit body measurement calculator rather than a rigid height table, so treat the ranges here as a ±3 to 4 cm guide and confirm with a fit for edge cases. Reach and stack figures are official and exact.
Quick size finder
Find your height, cross check your inside leg, and read across. The Reacto and Scultura share one seven size race scale; the Scultura Endurance uses six sizes and sits taller and shorter for comfort.
| Rider height | Leg length (inseam) | Reacto & Scultura | Scultura Endurance |
|---|---|---|---|
| 152 to 160 cm | 70 to 75 cm | 3XS | XXS |
| 158 to 166 cm | 74 to 78 cm | XXS | XXS |
| 165 to 172 cm | 77 to 81 cm | XS | XS |
| 170 to 177 cm | 80 to 84 cm | S | S |
| 176 to 184 cm | 83 to 88 cm | M | M |
| 182 to 189 cm | 87 to 91 cm | L | L |
| 188 to 198 cm | 90 to 96 cm | XL | XL |
Because Merida runs large, if you land between two rows, take the smaller size, especially coming from another brand. The old 44 to 59 cm charts online describe the previous generation, so ignore them for these bikes.
How to measure yourself
Height. Stand barefoot against a wall, heels together, and measure to the top of your head.
Leg length (inseam). Barefoot, feet about 15 cm apart, press a book up to the wall like a saddle and measure floor to spine.
The reliable check. Compare the stack and reach below with a bike that already fits you, and use Merida's SmartFit calculator for a body based recommendation. On a brand that runs large, that comparison beats the size letter every time.

Reacto and Scultura (race)
The Reacto is the aero racer and the Scultura the lighter all round race bike, and in the current generation they share the same geometry, a long and low position with a racy stack to reach. So pick between them on aero versus weight, not fit. Available in 7 sizes: 3XS, XXS, XS, S, M, L and XL.
| Frame size | 3XS | XXS | XS | S | M | L | XL |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Stack (mm) | 512 | 517 | 529 | 542 | 557 | 571 | 593 |
| Reach (mm) | 373 | 377 | 384 | 390 | 395 | 400 | 409 |
| Rider height | 152 to 160 | 158 to 166 | 165 to 172 | 170 to 177 | 176 to 184 | 182 to 189 | 188 to 198 |
That Medium at 395 mm reach and 557 mm stack fits like a Large or 56 from many brands, which is exactly why so many riders size down onto a Merida.
Scultura Endurance (endurance)
The Scultura Endurance is the comfort focused all road bike, roughly 30 to 35 mm taller in stack and 10 to 12 mm shorter in reach than the race Scultura at the same size, for an upright but still sporty position. Available in 6 sizes: XXS, XS, S, M, L and XL.
| Frame size | XXS | XS | S | M | L | XL |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Stack (mm) | 539 | 552 | 565 | 584 | 603 | 629 |
| Reach (mm) | 360 | 366 | 376 | 380 | 389 | 397 |
| Rider height | 156 to 165 | 163 to 171 | 170 to 177 | 176 to 183 | 181 to 189 | 187 to 198 |
The clearest tell between this and the race Scultura is about 35 mm more stack at the same size. It rivals a Trek Domane or Specialized Roubaix for comfort. There is no 3XS here, so the smallest riders are better served by the race models.
What Merida riders find
The dominant theme is that Merida runs large for the size letter, with reviewers pointing out that the race Medium fits like a Large or 56 elsewhere, so buyers switching brands usually size down one and should shop by reach and stack. Head tubes also run a touch tall, so a Merida that matches your reach can sit you a little more upright than expected, another reason to compare numbers. The race fit is aggressive but versatile rather than extreme. The Scultura Endurance is the comfort pick, praised for a lively yet upright ride, and because it already adds stack, comfort riders rarely need to size up on it.
Between two sizes?
On a brand that runs large, take the smaller size for a racier fit, or stay larger only if you want maximum stack and stability. Merida's own rule is simple: smaller for sporty, larger for comfort. Send us your height, inside leg and current bike's reach and we will confirm.

Coming from another brand? Ask our concierge
Because Merida sizes up on the label, the safest move is to match numbers, not letters. Share your height, inside leg and the reach of your current bike and our concierge team will pin down the right Merida size. Talk to our concierge.
These sizes are guidance, not a fitting guarantee. Stack and reach are official Merida data and exact; rider height ranges are our estimates, since Merida prefers its SmartFit body calculator to a fixed height chart. Ignore older cm size charts, which describe the previous generation, and confirm against the exact bike you are buying.
