Sizing a Lapierre road bike
Lapierre's current road range is built around three characters: the Xelius DRS, the do it all aero and lightweight race bike that now leads the line up; the Aircode DRS aero racer that the Xelius DRS has since replaced; and the Pulsium endurance bike for long days and rougher roads. The single most important thing to know is that Lapierre sizes its race frames long and low: on the Xelius DRS and Aircode DRS each frame carries roughly the reach you would expect from the size above, so plenty of riders sit happiest one size down from a generic height chart.

Please note. These sizes are indicative, a starting point and not a guarantee of fit. Height and leg length get you close, but riding style, flexibility and body proportions all matter. Treat the leg length bands as an approximate guide, since Lapierre publishes recommended rider height rather than official inseam figures.

How to measure yourself
Height. Stand barefoot against a wall, heels together and head level, and mark the top of your head. Measure straight down to the floor. A helper makes this far more accurate.
Leg length (inseam). Barefoot, feet about 15 cm apart, press a book up into your crotch as if it were a saddle and keep it level against the wall. Measure from the top edge of the book down to the floor. This inseam number is the best single check when you fall between two heights.
Xelius DRS (all rounder race)
The Xelius DRS is Lapierre's flagship race bike, blending the aerodynamics of the old Aircode with the low weight and handling of the Xelius SL. It is fast, stiff and racy, yet the DRS damping at the seat cluster takes a little sting out of rough tarmac. Available in 6 sizes, XS to XXL.

Fit character: racy and aggressive, a low and stretched do it all race position.
Aircode DRS (aero)
The Aircode DRS was Lapierre's dedicated aero racer, built for a stretched, powerful position with deep, wind cheating tube shapes. Lapierre has folded it into the Xelius DRS for the latest range, so you will now mostly find the Aircode DRS on the used market. It shares the same long and low race sizing. Offered in 5 sizes, XS to XL.

Pulsium (endurance)
The Pulsium is Lapierre's endurance bike, with Shock Absorption Technology (SAT) at the top of the seat tube to soak up vibration and clearance for tyres up to 38 mm. The latest generation is lighter and a touch racier than before, but it still sits taller and more relaxed than the Xelius DRS. Available in 6 sizes, XS to XXL, with the XXL new for the latest generation.

What Lapierre riders find
Reviewers and owners consistently describe the Xelius DRS as fast and confident, a genuine all rounder that climbs and sprints willingly while staying composed on fast descents. The race frames are known for their long reach, so testers often note that riders coming from other brands may want to size down or fit a shorter stem to settle the position. Pulsium owners praise the smoothness of the SAT damping over broken roads and light gravel, calling it an easy bike to spend all day on without giving up much speed.
Between two sizes?
On the Xelius DRS and Aircode DRS, where each frame already carries a generous reach, we usually suggest sizing down for a more manageable cockpit and sharper handling, then fine tuning with stem length and spacers. The Pulsium is more neutral, so let your height and inseam lead: size down for a slightly punchier, sportier fit or up for extra comfort and a taller front end. If your inseam sits at the shorter end of a band, the smaller size is normally the safer call.

These sizes are guidance, not a fitting guarantee. Stack and reach are official Lapierre figures where published, drawn from Lapierre and public geometry databases; the Aircode DRS is a superseded model shown here for the used market, and the leg length bands are indicative estimates rather than official Lapierre data. Always confirm the geometry against the exact bike and model year before buying.
