Changes to the order

Can I change my delivery or billing address after I place my order? 

Our system starts processing your order the moment it is completed to ensure you receive it quickly. For this reason, it is usually not possible to modify your billing or delivery address after you complete your order.

If you urgently need to change your delivery address, please contact us immediately. We will do our best to handle your request. 

Can I change my order from an individual to a company?

Because your billing details are transmitted immediately, you cannot change them after you place your order. Please note that the calculation of any due taxes or fees depends on the details you enter in your billing section. 

To ensure an efficient and timely purchasing process, we encourage you to check all information entered during the purchase process carefully. It is important to ensure that the invoice details match your tax and business situation before confirming your order.

Can I receive my order on a specific day or let you know when I'm not available for delivery?

Bikeroom cannot guarantee the delivery of your order on a specific date. 

During the checkout process, you can choose between standard and express shipping. The product page also provides an estimated delivery date. 

We will send you a tracking number when a label is created to help you keep track of your parcel's journey. Please make sure someone is available at the time of delivery, which is displayed on the courier’s tracking page.

Should nobody be present on the estimated delivery day, please reach out to the courier directly to arrange an alternative, such as collection from their pick-up point. Unfortunately, Bikeroom cannot coordinate these operations on your behalf. 

Warranty

What kind of warranty do you offer?

When purchasing a brand-new bike, you are entitled to the manufacturer’s warranty.

If you purchase a second-hand or pro bike instead, Bikeroom offers a one-year warranty. You can add a second warranty year by selecting this option in the check-out process.

What does your warranty cover?

Bikeroom’s one or two-year coverage includes any damage that was not caused by improper usage, poor storage, accidents, etc.

What is not covered by the warranty?

The warranty does not cover some situations outside the manufacturer's regular responsibilities:

  • Defects resulting from the normal wear and tear of consumable parts such as tires, chains, brakes, and cables. These components naturally deteriorate with regular use and cannot be considered defective solely due to normal wear.
  • Any maintenance performed by unauthorized personnel. The quality and correctness of the performed operations cannot be guaranteed. This also applies to cases of improper maintenance, assembly, or installation, which can compromise the integrity and functionality of the product.
  • Corrosion. Since it is often caused by environmental factors and kind of usage, corrosion is related to the regular maintenance of the product.
  • Modifications from its original condition of the product. Alterations can interfere with its proper operation and safety, making it impossible for the manufacturer to ensure the conformity of the modified item.
  • Using the product for competitive or commercial activities not intended by the manufacturer. Such uses involve mechanical stresses and strains well beyond those considered in the design and manufacture of the product, leading to accelerated and often irreversible deterioration.
  • Damage caused by accidents, negligence, or improper use. Please note that the latter may include using the product in ways not specified in the user manual or manufacturer's guidelines.

Furthermore, the warranty doesn't include the following scenarios:

  • Frame: non-compliant use, structural modifications, and use of high-pressure washers that can damage finishes and materials.
  • Suspension: non-compliant modifications and disassembly, use of improper pressures, inadequate maintenance, and accumulation of mud or debris.
  • Transmission: incorrect maintenance, lubrication, cleaning, and use of incompatible parts.
  • Brakes: improperly performed bleeding, contamination of pads, use of non-compliant or incompatible discs and oils.
  • Components: failure to comply with torque specifications, improper use, and use of incompatible parts.
  • Wheels: unauthorized modifications, non-compliant hub disassembly, use of high-pressure washers, and poor maintenance of freewheel and bearings.
  • Tires: incorrect inflation pressure, improper mounting, and inappropriate usage conditions.
  • Electronics: improper use of charger or battery.

In summary, the warranty covers only conformity defects related to production and original materials, excluding all issues arising from normal wear and tear, improper maintenance, unauthorized use, and structural or functional modifications of the product.

What happens if a product is not compliant during quality control?

When a product does not meet compliance standards during quality control, Bikeroom takes immediate action to protect you. If it does not match the description provided at the time of purchase, Bikeroom will cancel the sale and provide you with a full refund, ensuring that you do not suffer financial loss due to products that do not meet expectations.

If the product is only partially compliant, you will promptly be informed of the identified defects. You will then be give the chance to either accept the product with the stated defects or modifications, or cancel the order. In the latter case, Bikeroom will issue a full refund of the amount paid, thereby offering a fair and transparent solution for all customers.

Which products are covered by the legal conformity guarantee?

All products offered on our site by professional sellers are covered by the legal conformity guarantee.

What is meant by "non-conformity"?

A product exhibits non-conformity if:

  • It is not suitable for the usual purposes for which goods of the same type are normally used.
  • It does not correspond to the description provided by the seller, or it lacks the promised characteristics, functionalities, compatibility, and interoperability.
  • It does not match a sample or model presented by the seller prior to purchase.
  • It is not suitable for the specific use communicated to the seller and accepted by them.
  • It is not supplied with all the accessories, instructions, and packaging as expected.
What can I do in case of non-conformity?

When a product exhibits non-conformity, you have the right to receive adequate service to resolve the issue without further inconvenience or expense. In these cases, Bikeroom offers several solutions.

Firstly, Bikeroom commits to repairing the product at no additional cost to you. This is often the preferred solution as it maintains the original product, restoring its functionality and conformity. However, if repair is not possible or feasible, Bikeroom will replace the product. We will first pick up the bike at our own cost, and then send you the replacement item.

If neither repair nor replacement is achievable or excessively costly, Bikeroom will propose a price reduction or contract termination. With a price reduction, you will receive a partial refund proportional to the defect found in the product. If none of the proposed solutions are satisfactory or applicable, you may opt for contract termination. In this case, you will return the product to Bikeroom and receive a refund.

Can the terms of the warranty vary?

Yes, the terms and conditions of the warranty can vary depending on the country of purchase and the applicable local law. Depending on the place of purchase and/or warranty service, local law may grant additional specific rights to the consumer. The terms and conditions of the warranty stated in this document do not affect the rights recognized to consumers by the law of the country of residence.

Return

Can I cancel my order?

Yes, you can cancel your order within 24 hours of payment. After this period, your order processing will have begun, making cancellation impossible. This is due to the order entering our system and that of our external partners.

After 24 hours, we start detailed processing for each order. This includes: ordering the product specifically for you from our suppliers; thoroughly checking the product by our mechanics; and carefully preparing the product for shipment.

Once this process starts, we cannot interrupt it.

Can I return my product?

Yes, you can return your product if you change your mind. You have up to 48 hours from the date of receiving the product to request a return. To proceed, please attach the delivery receipt and fill out the form at the bottom of the page. We will arrange for the courier to pick up the product directly from your home.

Please note that return costs are your responsibility. Bikeroom does not accept return requests for changes of mind after 48 hours from the courier’s delivery of the product.

What if I encounter issues with the product after 48 hours?

If more than 48 hours have passed and you encounter issues with the product that are attributable to Bikeroom, you can still initiate a return. In this case, Bikeroom will manage the pick-up and shipping of the product to our headquarters.

Issues attributable to Bikeroom may include:

• The product does not match the specifications shown on the website and has substantial differences.

• The used product has damages not properly disclosed by the seller on the website.

• The product has suffered structural damage due to shipping.

Every return request is reviewed by one of our experts to determine Bikeroom’s responsibility. If the error cannot be attributed to Bikeroom, the return request will be denied, and a detailed explanation will be provided.

If the error is recognized as ours, our policy aims to resolve the issue without requiring the return of the product. If this is not feasible, we will proceed with the return of the product.

Please be aware that shipping delays, ordering the wrong size, and disliking the color do not qualify as acceptable reasons for return after 48 hours, as they are not attributable to Bikeroom.

How should I proceed to request the cancellation of my order?

To request the cancellation of your order, please fill out the dedicated form below within the specified timeframe. It is essential to attach the delivery receipt indicating the date of product receipt and provide all details of your order, especially the order number.

Please be aware that it may take a few days to process your request. Don’t worry if our response exceeds the cancellation timeframe; the crucial aspect is that we receive your request within the specified timeframe.

We strongly recommend using only the designated form for cancellation. Requests submitted through other channels may result in delays in processing. Using the dedicated form ensures a prompt response and efficient handling of your order cancellation process.

Why haven't I received a refund for the full amount paid for my order?

The Bikeroom Protection fee is non-refundable as it covers the use of Bikeroom's platform. For more details, please refer to the dedicated section.

If you return the purchased product within 48 hours of receiving it due to a change of mind, the return costs (including shipping fees and any customs duties) will be deducted from you refund.

In the event of a return due to an error attributable to Bikeroom within 14 days of receiving the product, you will only bear the Bikeroom Protection fee costs. You will not incur any return costs as these will be covered by Bikeroom.

Why is the Bikeroom Protection fee non-refundable?

The Bikeroom Protection is an essential service that is automatically added to your cart for every order of second-hand bikes, corresponding to 3% of the product value.

This service offers you a range of significant benefits and complete peace of mind during your purchasing process: assistance with import customs clearance, thorough quality control, complete management of shipments and returns, fully insured shipments, personalized assistance at our premises.

The Bikeroom Protection allows us to simplify the purchasing process and provide you with total assurance regarding delivery and service quality. It ensures a worry-free shopping experience, with every aspect of your order handled with care, professionalism, and utmost transparency.
