With a used Mendiz, start with the carbon frame: check the down tube, the chainstays and the seatpost area for cracks or impact damage, and look for play in the bottom bracket and headset. Confirm the drivetrain shifts cleanly, and on Di2 or AXS builds test the electronic shifting and ask about battery condition. On disc builds, check rotor and pad wear and that the calipers run true.
