Ridley Gravel Size Guide: Kanzo Fast, Kanzo Adventure and Grifn

Ridley Gravel Size Guide: Kanzo Fast, Kanzo Adventure and Grifn

Ridley gravel sizing: Kanzo Fast, Kanzo Adventure and Grifn

Ridley runs three very different gravel platforms. The Kanzo Fast is a low, aero gravel racer, the Kanzo Adventure is built for stability on rough terrain and loaded riding, and the Grifn is the all road all-rounder that bridges road and gravel. The key thing to understand is that these models do not share a size chart, so a medium in one is not the same fit as a medium in another. Always size by the model you want, using your height and the frame reach together. Explore what is in stock on our Ridley collection.

Please note. These recommendations are indicative and a starting point, not a guarantee of fit. Body proportions, flexibility and how you like to ride all shift the answer, and Ridley frames tend to run long in reach, so read the numbers alongside the height bands rather than relying on the size label alone.

Quick size finder

Rider height Leg length (inseam) Kanzo Fast Kanzo Adventure Grifn
152 to 160 cm 68 to 73 cm XXXS
160 to 166 cm 73 to 76 cm XXS
166 to 172 cm 76 to 80 cm XS XS XS
172 to 178 cm 80 to 84 cm S S S
178 to 184 cm 84 to 87 cm M M M
184 to 190 cm 87 to 90 cm L L L
190 to 198 cm 90 to 95 cm XL XL XL

How to measure yourself

Height. Stand barefoot against a wall with heels together and your back straight. Mark the top of your head and measure straight down to the floor.

Leg length (inseam). Barefoot, feet roughly 15 cm apart, press a hardback book spine up into your crotch as a saddle would sit. Measure from the top edge of the book to the floor. Your inseam drives standover clearance and saddle height, so it is worth doing carefully.

Ridley Kanzo Fast

The Kanzo Fast is Ridley's aero gravel race bike, with a low front end and quick, direct handling for riders chasing speed on fast, dry terrain.

Size Stack (mm) Reach (mm) Rider height
XS 537 372 166 to 172 cm
S 563 380 172 to 178 cm
M 587 385 178 to 184 cm
L 613 393 184 to 190 cm
XL 638 400 190 to 198 cm

Fit character: low, aero and race ready.

Ridley Kanzo Adventure

The Kanzo Adventure trades outright speed for stability and comfort, with a taller front end, generous tyre clearance and mounts for bikepacking. It is the choice for long, rough days away from the tarmac.

Size Stack (mm) Reach (mm) Rider height
XS 546 379 166 to 172 cm
S 569 387 172 to 178 cm
M 591 401 178 to 184 cm
L 617 415 184 to 190 cm
XL 639 426 190 to 198 cm

Fit character: upright, stable and built for the long haul.

Data note. The Kanzo Adventure reach figures run notably longer than the Kanzo Fast at the same size label. Pair it with a shorter stem if you are used to Ridley race reach, and confirm the geometry against the exact frame and model year before you commit.

Ridley Grifn

The Grifn is the do everything all road bike, happy on fast tarmac and light gravel alike. It offers the widest size run in the range, from XXXS to XL, so smaller riders in particular have more choice here.

Size Stack (mm) Reach (mm) Rider height
XXXS 485 370 152 to 160 cm
XXS 524 375 160 to 166 cm
XS 540 375 166 to 172 cm
S 563 383 172 to 178 cm
M 587 391 178 to 184 cm
L 614 403 184 to 190 cm
XL 633 412 190 to 198 cm

Fit character: versatile and balanced, a true all rounder.

What Ridley riders find

Reviewers and owners repeatedly note that Ridley frames feel long and racy for their size, so riders moving across from endurance brands often end up one size smaller than expected to match the reach they know. The Kanzo Fast earns praise as a genuinely fast, road like gravel bike, while the Kanzo Adventure is valued for composed, confident handling when the terrain turns rough. The Grifn is the crowd pleaser, with testers highlighting how easily it switches between road and gravel duty at a fair price.

Between two sizes?

Because Ridley reach runs long, many riders on a size boundary are better served going down a size, especially on the Kanzo Fast and Grifn, then fine tuning with stem length and spacers. Size up only if you want a taller, more relaxed front end for long days or loaded touring on the Kanzo Adventure. Comparing the stack and reach of a bike you already ride is the surest way to settle it.

Stack and reach figures are drawn from official Ridley frame data where possible. Rider height and inseam bands are indicative estimates rather than official Ridley numbers, and the Kanzo Adventure figures in particular should be verified against the current frame passport. Always confirm geometry against the exact bike before buying.
