Finding your Orbea size
Orca is known to ride long, and being able to spec a shorter stem takes the sting out of that. All three current road bikes share one set of numbered sizes, 47 to 60, and one height ladder, so the choice is really about which platform suits your body and your riding. Here is how they line up.
Take a look at the Orbea range at Bikeroom as you read.
Please note. The sizes below are a starting recommendation, not a guarantee. Orbea shares one road height ladder across these models, and your proportions, flexibility and chosen cockpit all shape the final fit. A professional fit is the best way to be sure, and with MyO you can often build to it.
Size at a glance
The Orca, Orca Aero and Avant use the same size numbers and the same height ladder. Find your height, confirm with inseam, then pick the platform by character: Aero is lowest, Orca in the middle, Avant the tallest and most relaxed.
| Rider height | Leg length (inseam) | Orca (climbing) | Orca Aero (aero) | Avant (endurance) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 155 to 160 cm | 69 to 73 cm | 47 | 47 | 47 |
| 160 to 166 cm | 73 to 77 cm | 49 | 49 | 49 |
| 167 to 172 cm | 77 to 81 cm | 51 | 51 | 51 |
| 173 to 179 cm | 81 to 85 cm | 53 | 53 | 53 |
| 180 to 185 cm | 85 to 89 cm | 55 | 55 | 55 |
| 186 to 191 cm | 89 to 93 cm | 57 | 57 | 57 |
| 192 to 207 cm | 93 to 99 cm | 60 | 60 | 60 |
Same number, different posture. If you want to sit lower and race, the Aero rewards it; if comfort is the priority, the Avant is built for it.
Measuring up
Measure height barefoot against a wall to the top of the head. For inseam, hold a book against the wall between your legs like a saddle and measure from the floor to the spine. Inseam in centimetres times 0.66 is a quick way to approximate your frame size, though because MyO lets you set stem and bar, getting the frame roughly right and tuning the cockpit is a perfectly good approach here.
The three road platforms
Orca (lightweight climbing and all round)
The Orca is the lightweight all rounder, with a naturally low, moderately long front end. It is the model most likely to feel long for its size, and the one where sizing down and choosing a shorter stem is a common, sensible move. Sizes: 47, 49, 51, 53, 55, 57 and 60.
| Frame size | 47 | 49 | 51 | 53 | 55 | 57 | 60 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Stack (mm) | 506 | 515 | 533 | 552 | 572 | 590 | 616 |
| Reach (mm) | 370 | 375 | 380 | 385 | 391 | 398 | 404 |
| Rider height | 155 to 160 | 160 to 166 | 167 to 172 | 173 to 179 | 180 to 185 | 186 to 191 | 192 to 207 |
Shorter riders in particular often find the Orca a size smaller than expected fits best; a 175 cm rider is frequently happy on a 51.
Orca Aero (aero race)
The Orca Aero is the aero racer, all new for 2026 with the lowest bottom bracket of any aero bike, huge tyre clearance and a 13 way integrated cockpit. Its stack to reach is a touch more relaxed than some rivals, so you get a race position without slamming the stem. Sizes: 47, 49, 51, 53, 55, 57 and 60.
| Frame size | 47 | 49 | 51 | 53 | 55 | 57 | 60 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Stack (mm) | 496 | 505 | 523 | 542 | 562 | 580 | 606 |
| Reach (mm) | 370 | 376 | 380 | 385 | 391 | 398 | 404 |
| Rider height | 155 to 160 | 160 to 166 | 167 to 172 | 173 to 179 | 180 to 185 | 186 to 191 | 192 to 207 |
The 2026 frame is fractionally taller in stack than the figures shown, which reflect the previous frame; reach is unchanged. Confirm exact 2026 stack per size before you buy.
Avant (endurance)
The Avant is the endurance and all road bike. It keeps the same reach as the Orca but adds roughly 20 to 40 mm of stack at every size, so you sit tall and upright with weight off your back and arms. An optional taller bar pushes the position even more relaxed. Sizes: 47, 49, 51, 53, 55, 57 and 60.
| Frame size | 47 | 49 | 51 | 53 | 55 | 57 | 60 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Stack (mm) | 525 | 545 | 565 | 585 | 605 | 625 | 645 |
| Reach (mm) | 370 | 375 | 380 | 385 | 391 | 398 | 404 |
| Rider height | 155 to 160 | 160 to 166 | 167 to 172 | 173 to 179 | 180 to 185 | 186 to 191 | 192 to 207 |
Same reach as the Orca, much taller stack. If the Orca or Aero feels too low, this is the fix. Endurance riders rarely need to size up, and some find it roomy. Avant per size heights are aligned to the shared Orbea road ladder.
What Orbea owners find
The Orca has a clear reputation for riding long, with several owners moving to shorter stems and shorter riders happiest a size down from what a height chart alone would suggest. The Orca Aero draws praise for a race position that is racy without being punishing, and its wide cockpit range gives real fit latitude. The Avant fits generously, so tall stack seekers land there comfortably and few need to size up.
Between two sizes?
On the Orca and Aero, lean smaller for a sharper race fit, especially if you are already thinking about a shorter stem. On the Avant, stay in your height bracket. Long legs with a short torso are the usual reason to go up. If you want help, tell us your height and inseam, or the stem length that works on your current bike, and we will match it.

These recommendations are general guidance rather than a fitting guarantee. Geometry reflects current Orbea data, and the Orca Aero figures are from the previous frame with the 2026 stack running fractionally taller. Confirm against the specific bike and, where possible, a professional fit.
