Cube Gravel Bike Size Guide: Find Your Fit by Height and Reach

Cube Gravel Bike Size Guide: Find Your Fit by Height and Reach

Sizing a Cube gravel bike

Cube's gravel range is the Nuroad, built on two frames: an aluminium Nuroad and a carbon Nuroad C:62. Every trim uses one of these two frames, so geometry is consistent within each. Cube labels sizes in centimetres, and the key thing to know is that those numbers run large: a rider on a 53 to 54 cm road bike is often a 56 (M) on a Nuroad, so shop by stack and reach, not the cm label, and lean to the smaller size when between two. The fit itself is road biased, low and long rather than upright.

Please note. These sizes are a starting point, not a guarantee. Cube's cm labels run large and its per size height table is approximate, so treat the ranges here as a guide and confirm with a fit for edge cases. Reach and stack figures are current Cube data.

Quick size finder

Find your height, cross check your inside leg, and read across to the cm size. The alloy Nuroad offers the widest range; the carbon C:62 runs XS to XL.

Rider height Leg length (inseam) Nuroad (alloy) Nuroad C:62 (carbon)
157 to 165 cm 73 to 78 cm XXS (47) XS (50)
163 to 170 cm 77 to 82 cm XS (50) XS (50)
170 to 177 cm 81 to 86 cm S (53) S (53)
177 to 184 cm 85 to 90 cm M (56) M (56)
183 to 189 cm 89 to 93 cm L (58) L (58)
188 to 196 cm 92 to 98 cm XL (61) XL (61)
195 to 203 cm 97 to 103 cm XXL (64) (XL max)

The XXS and XXL alloy sizes are only offered on some trims. Because the labels run large, lean to the smaller size when between two, and shop by stack and reach.

How to measure yourself

Height. Stand barefoot against a wall, heels together, and measure to the top of your head.

Leg length (inseam). Barefoot, feet about 15 cm apart, press a book up to the wall like a saddle and measure floor to spine.

The reliable check. On a range whose labels run large, compare the stack and reach below with a bike you ride well rather than trusting the cm number.

Nuroad (aluminium)

The alloy Nuroad is the versatile all road and adventure bike, with a road steep seat angle and a stack that grows more upright as the sizes get larger, leaning toward touring and commuting practicality. It offers the widest size range. Available in up to 7 sizes: XXS to XXL depending on trim.

Frame size XXS 47 XS 50 S 53 M 56 L 58 XL 61 XXL 64
Stack (mm) 488 528 554 588 610 632 652
Reach (mm) 369 384 385 389 389 397 406
Rider height 157 to 165 163 to 170 170 to 177 177 to 184 183 to 189 188 to 196 195 to 203

Nuroad C:62 (carbon)

The carbon Nuroad C:62 has what Cube calls gravel endurance geometry, but in practice it sits at the road end of all road, lower stack and longer reach than most gravel bikes with a steep seat angle, so it feels sporty and fast. Note the large step in stack between S and M. Available in 5 sizes: XS to XL.

Frame size XS 50 S 53 M 56 L 58 XL 61
Stack (mm) 520 544 579 599 623
Reach (mm) 388 388 393 392 402
Rider height 163 to 170 170 to 177 176 to 184 183 to 189 188 to 196

The stack jumps about 35 mm from S to M, so riders around 172 to 176 cm sit in the gap and should choose by how upright they want to be.

What Cube riders find

The dominant note is that the cm labels run large, with reviewers used to a 53 or 54 cm road bike finding Cube classes their fit as a 56 (M), so checking stack and reach beats trusting the number. A rider around 175 cm sits at the bottom of Medium, and anyone shorter is better served by the S (53). Both Cube and owner consensus say to size down when between two. The fit is road biased for a gravel bike, low stack and long reach with a steep seat angle, so riders wanting a more upright off road cockpit should size down and add spacers or a taller bar. Handling is neutral and stable, and the only common complaint is a stiff stock gravel bar that some swap for rough terrain.

Between two sizes?

Go smaller, which suits both the large running labels and a sportier reach, or larger only if you want maximum stack. On the carbon frame, if you fall between S and M, decide by how upright you want to sit. Send us your height, inside leg and current reach and we will confirm.

Labels running large? Ask our concierge

Because Cube's cm sizing runs large, matching numbers beats guessing. Share your height, inside leg and the reach of your current bike and our concierge team will recommend the right size. Talk to our concierge.

These sizes are guidance, not a fitting guarantee. Stack and reach are current Cube data, consistent within each frame; small differences between alloy trims are rounding. Rider height ranges are approximate, since Cube's per size chart was not machine readable, so confirm against the specific bike you are buying.
