De Rosa Settanta: the new Pininfarina-signed frameset

We made a video to share with you the melody of precision mechanics when assembling a bike from scratch. We call it the sound of cycling.
This month’s dream build is about the De Rosa Settanta frame: the new frame signed Pininfarina is both the lightest, sleekest and most aerodynamic ever produced by the Cusano Milanino-based brand:

De Rosa Settanta: Lightness and precision designed by Pininfarina.

An incredibly light and precise frame of only 730 grams provides an extraordinary agility and speed to the 70. Every aspect of its development was approached with maniacal dedication, spending as much as 22 months to turn an idea into reality. Every single detail was carefully attended to, ensuring uncompromising quality.

The high-modulus carbon is distributed smoothly and progressively throughout the frame. From the 12K view of the carriage and its defined texture, moving on to the 1K that fades in unidirectional on the body of the frame, in its totality. Technicality, reduced weight and an optical effect never seen before. Stiffness is what has always distinguished heart bikes.

The headset tube has no edges, no obstructions to aerodynamic flow. A gentle shape, a “cradle” that accommodates and integrates all cables perfectly. The aesthetic is clean, the frontal impact incisive: OFFSET ZERO.

The top tube presents a linear continuity, is slightly sloping and creates a perfect proportion with the off-set seat tube: hexagonal, sharp, ready to cut through the wind. But the real revolution is in the carriage, a true masterpiece of technique and knowledge. The angles impose themselves, the weight remains low, the air flows away.

It is not only its lightness and precision that make it extraordinary. The design of this bicycle bears the signature of Pininfarina, a brand renowned for its elegance and innovation in the automotive industry. The partnership between De Rosa and Pininfarina is a marriage of Italian excellence, which has led to the creation of a bicycle with refined lines and distinctive style.

Attention to detail, the pursuit of perfection and a passion for innovation come together to create the most advanced De Rosa of all time.
