The legendary Italian bikes, still hand-crafted. For over a century Cicli Drali has been famous in Italy and in the World for the production of fully handcrafted frames, aimed at great performance and stylish, including all the experience of this historic brand.
FROM 1800 TOWARDS THE FUTURE, ON A RACING BICYCLE
THE BEGINNING OF AN ERA.The story of Drali and racing began in the days of Carlo Drali, Giuseppe's father, when he met Edoardo Bianchi who put him in charge of the racing team. There Carlo met the professional cyclists of the time, including Girardengo, Olmo, Aspisi, and the pistard Bergomi, and prepared their Bianche-branded bicycles for the various races.
A SPECIAL COLLABORATIONOnce Bicicletteria Drali had been created, this passion for racing was applied to the new brand, which made its debut in 1933 with the Drali Cup, which was unfortunately interrupted in 1940 due to the war.
Once Fausto Coppi was hired by Bianchi, Carlo and the young Peppino were asked to prepare the first bicycle for the great champion and it was with this bike that he would win the Sanremo in 1946.
"Very special" bicyclesAt the amateur level, at the beginning of the 1960s, Drali's Specialissime bikes began to become so popular that they became the official bikes of the Genoa Sporting Club and were used by amateur teams of the time such as KIMSA and BONI. In the 1970s, after the Bianchi racing department was closed down, Drali was given the task of setting up its own racing department for sportsmen and women who wanted custom-made bikes.
THE NEW "RACING TEAMS"The Racing Department's activities were then revived in 2018 when Steel Drali was created, a team mainly dedicated to fixed-gear racing with steel Drali bikes with bespoke joints.
This experience led to the rebirth of the brand's road racing activities, which continued in 2019 with the creation of DRALI MILANO and collaborations with Team Asnaghi and Asnaghi Gran Fondo.
